First to the Post

I am new to this Blogging lark, and old enough to know better, but I own an unfashionably old Mercedes Benz W124 230TE and I need a place to write about it, to learn how to maintain it and to meet others who have the same interest.

It's odometer tells me that it is approaching a lunar landing and I thought it would be fun to monitor its approach. At this moment it has a total mileage of: 236484 miles. I have never had a car that has done this sort of mileage. Nor have I had a car that seems to bear it so well.

So, I will intersperse this blog with a bit of history too so that I have a history of what this vehicle has been through.

And maybe we will reach the moon with it......

Now in time honoured tradition I will publish this first posting before it is ready, fired with enthusiasm that I hope will not quickly wear off!
